Barbados has recorded its sixth road death for 2018.
This follows a serious accident which occurred along the Adams section of the ABC Highway around 3 p.m. Sunday.
Dead is 44-year-old Paula Corbin, of Park Road, Bush Hall, St Michael, who police say was pronounced dead whilst receiving treatment for her injuries at the Accident & Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Corbin was a passenger in a motorcar, MA 3090, which was driven by 42-year-old Troy Trotman, of Chapman Lane, St Michael.
The other vehicle – O51 – was driven by 44-year-old Graham Mapp, of #91, Welches Terrace, St Thomas, who was carrying one passenger, 27-year-old Alicia Jordan, of Whitehall, St Michael, at the time of the accident.
Last year there were 28 road deaths, up from ten the previous year.
