The highly anticipated Soca Royale gets underway soon at the Bushy Park, St Philip, rounding up some of the best songs from the Party Monarch and Sweet Soca competitions.
Winners of both competitions will walk away with a Mazda 3 motor car and $10,000.
Patrons have been filing into the venue from early afternoon, many with their coolers and umbrellas for a Soca filled evening.
Defending Party Monarch Lil Rick will be the first to hit the stage. His competition includes Mikey, Faith, Ras Iley and Gyrnner, Mr Blood, Ramses, Mistah Dale, Peter Ram and Saffiyah.
The climax event will be the Sweet Soca competition. The running order is as follows: TC, Shaquille, Edwin Yearwood, Nikita, Marzville, Lil Rick, Sanctuary, Red Plastic Bag and Damien Marvay.
