The controversial RH signs which were installed at some bus shelters have been taken down. The bright yellow signs bearing the slogan Stop RH Littering caused a stir on social media after they were installed.
The Adopt A Stop bus shelter project which was responsible for installing them said they were asked by the authorities to take them down.
“The Transport Authority told us to ‘take down the RH signs’, and they are the boss, so we had to comply. However …. if you would like a bumper sticker Contact Us with your postal address and we will send one to keep the anti-littering message going (no charge),” Adopt A Stop said in a post on its Facebook page.
Since the installation of the signs, members of the public have been speculating on the meaning of the letters RH, with some assuming it is an acronym for a well-known local expletive
