Always do good

Today, marks the beginning of the Lenten season, a major period on the Christian calendar; and the student body of the Boscobel Primary School joined with other students and worshippers in observing the event at St Philip-The-Less Anglican Church in Boscobel, St Peter.

In a brief service, priest-in-charge Reverend Davidson Bowen encouraged the 134 students from Boscobel Primary to be good persons in life.

Bowen told the students that if they did good to people, good things would return to them at a later stage of their lives. He encouraged them to desist from using indecent language, and to do all homework that was given to them. The cleric also told the students to live a life that reflected the qualities of Jesus Christ at all stages of their lives on earth.

At the conclusion of the service the pupils were invited into the sanctuary where Bowen inscribed a cross, of ashes, on their foreheads.

Reverend Davidson Bowen gets students to interact with him during his sermon.
Father Davidson Bowen uses a full glass of Coke and another of water to illustrate bad as opposed to good.
