The late Livingston Eversley
Members of the Royal Barbados Police Force are mourning the sudden death of another of their senior officers.
Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in charge of crime, Livingston Eversley, 58, collapsed and died at his Vauxhall Gardens, Christ Church home this evening. The highly respected Eversley was a 36-year veteran of the police force.
It is the second time within eight months that the Eversley family has been hit by the demise of one of its members. Last September the late officer’s sister, Melanise Eversley, 60, was found dead beside the road at Jordan, St George. A man has since been charged in connection with her murder.
Eversley took over as ACP in charge of crime following the death of Acting Assistant Commissioner Mark Thompson, 53, last November.
Eversley leaves to mourn his wife, daughter and two grandchildren. (WG)
