Four schoolboys appeared in court today charged in connection with Monday’s stabbing incident at the St Leonard’s Boys’ School.
The four, which included two 16-year-olds and two 15–year-olds were all charged with causing a disturbance at an educational institution.
Both 15-year-old boys pleaded guilty and were remanded to the Government Industrial School (GIS). They will return to court on March 14.
The two 16-year-olds pleaded not guilty and were both granted $5000 bail with one surety to return to court on March 14.
One of the 16-year-old boys faced an additional charge of wounding. He pleaded not guilty and was allowed to continue on bail from the first offence.
One of the 15-year-olds faced an additional charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He pleaded guilty and was further remanded to the GIS, until March 14.
