If Terrence Sandor Bowen fails to adhere to the order imposed on him by Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant, he will spend three months behind bars at HMP Dodds.
Bowen pleaded guilty to unlawfully assaulting Gary Barrow while they were at the Fairchild Street Market early Wednesday.
According to prosecutor Sergeant Janice Ifill, Bowen sleeps in an area at the market where Barrow also washes cars.
Apparently, Bowen hurled threats at Barrow as he went about his business. He also approached the complainant while in possession of half a shear in his hand, and it was during that confrontation that the assault took place.
The matter was reported to the police who later arrested and charged Bowen.
“[He] keeps interfering with me . . . in the area where I sleep,” Bowen told the magistrate before the sentence was imposed.
