Police constable Undwye Jean-Baptiste appeared in a Bridgetown court today, charged with having an unlicensed firearm and nine rounds of ammunition.

The accused, age 29, of #16 West Road, Warrens, St Michael was remanded until June 23, when he will return to the same court.

He stood stoically in the dock while acting Magistrate Alliston Seale read the charges to him. He was not required to plead to either of the indictable matters, which allegedly occurred on May 24.

The cop was represented by attorney-at-law Allan Carter.
