Three granted bail for separate offences

Three people were each granted bail Monday on separate offences when they appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court No 2.

Andrew Henry Mark Anthony Phillips, 39, of Rollins Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael pleaded not guilty to having 1.4 grammes of cocaine on Saturday, with intent to supply and traffic the illegal drug.

He was granted $2, 000 bail and will return to court on September 29.

A second accused, Winston Garnett Alleyne of #58 Oleander Drive, West Terrace, St James denied harassing Andrewa Kirton between last December 5 and February 5 this year.

Magistrate Cuffy-Sargeant granted the retiree $3, 000 bail until September 29 when his matter will come up again.

He was, however, warned to stay away from the complainant.

Meanwhile, Nicole Natasha Aimey, 36, pleaded not guilty to using threatening words within the sight and hearing of Ianthe Marshall on June 24, which caused her alarm.

Allegedly, the words used were “Me? I ain’t got to do nain, but I gine stab she up like a pig. I hate de stinking *****, she keep putting me in court all the **** time. I sick uh she; a big stinking *****. De man ain’t want yuh.”

The Bush Hall, St Michael resident was granted $2, 000 bail and placed on an 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. curfew.

The unemployed woman returns to court on September 22.
