Disherid Franklyn-Harewood sent three goals for Lawrence T Gay Primary past St Mary’s Primary’s defence in the ongoing National Sports Council’s Bico-sponsored Schools Football Wednesday at the National Stadium.

As the preliminaries for this year’s competition continues at various venues across the island, L T Gay had every reason to celebrate with a 4-0 victory against St Mary’s Primary thanks to Franklyn-Harewood’s hat-trick and Jamaire Roach with one of his own.

In the second and final match of zone six at the Stadium, there was no winner as Eagle Hall Primary and Eden Lodge played out a 0-0 stalemate.

There was a top of the table clash in zone two at Orange Hill, St James between Sharon Primary and St Alban’s Primary that went to the very end for a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Nadwon Cave scored a brace for Sharon while teammate Kiaros Greaves accounted for the other goal. Meanwhile for St Alban’s goals were scored through Roniko Harding, Rovaldo Massiah and an own goal.  

Reshawn Maynard-Eastmond’s lone goal led St Silas to an 1-0 win over Welches Primary. Also at Orange Hill former champions St Stephen’s Primary did well against Good Shepherd Primary 4-2 in another exciting contest. Mikkel Smith and Ziko Rogers netted two goals each for St Stephen’s. St Matthew’s Primary had reason to celebrate winning a 1-0 thriller over St James compliments Eton McCollin’s strike.

There were matches played in zone eight and St Luke’s Brighton Primary suffered another harsh defeat this time at the boots of Blackman and Gollop Primary coming out on top 5-0. Goal scorers were Tyler Niles and Jayden Gittens with two goals each along with one from the birthday boy Christian Als.

St Philip Primary stamped their dominance on Hilda Skeene Primary with a 2-0 triumph as Dequan Toppin and Tremaine Holder both got their names on the score sheet. Meanwhile Jaden Baird ensured his team came out on top 1-0 against Reynold Weekes Primary.

At Shorey Village in zone three, St Elizabeth Primary were the victorious side as they edged Holy Innocents Primary 2-1. Khomani Griffith shook the nets twice for both goals for the lads from Bathsheba and Donte Burke had the one for Holy Innocents. St Bernard’s Primary lost 3-0 to Grantley Prescod Primary in the other match-up.
