Moments ago, Barbados’ top tennis player Darian King moved one step closer to gaining entry into the Australian Open.

Playing on court 12 in Melbourne, King advanced to the second round of qualifying matches after easily defeating home boy Marc Polmans 6-2 , 7-6.

 The result means that King will take on Alexander Bublik, who is ranked 115, tomorrow at 6p.m.
